-What:
Mr Stephens taught us how to make attendance record by using the file maker pro.

Lesson 5 - Tues 8 March





Lesson 4 - Wed 2 March
-What:
Mr Stephens explain and introduced some features of Mac like expose, he also taught us not to minimise a window because we will mix it up easily.
Mr Stephens also demonstrate how to search in the Filemaker Pro to save time.

-Difficulty:
I'm still struggling in typing in the details of the scouts.
But i have learnt to use mac now since i was a windows user before, i have learnt how to copy and paste when Mr Stephens demonstrate how to do things faster and easier.

Lesson 3 - Tues 1 March
-What:
Mr Stephens taught us how to make a blog and how to do a entry to share to everyone and for everyone to read

-Resources:
we used ishare to make the blog, we also used Mr Stephens blog
-Difficulty:
It's quite difficult to make a blog because i don't know where the blog button is
the internet is slow since there are many people using it at the same time
classmates were distracting, this made me focus on my classmates instead on the computer

Lesson 2 - Mon 28 Feb
-What:
Mr Stephens showed us how to search in the data
Mr Stephens taught us how to use filemaker Pro
-Resources:

-Difficulty:
The difficulty is I don't know how to type in the data, also since I was absent on the computer science lesson last thursday, I missed what was taught that day.
Lesson 1 - Thur 24 Feb
- What:
Mr Stephens introduced us to our Scout Database task.

-Resources:
We took a look at a sample database built in Filemaker Pro
Mr Stephens also gave us a handout detailing the Data Processing cycle which we are currently working through.

-Difficulty:
One difficulty I experienced was when trying to save to my network home directly it did not appear on the desktop. I asked how to make it appear and now know that i need to use the 'Mount Shares' icon on the desktop first to load the shares, then do the save.
